Do I need a DBA (Doing Business As)?

Hello, I'm getting ready to launch a publishing business. Because I plan on having more than one magazine, I am filing a LLC for the umbrella company. But I'm not sure if I need a DBA for each of the magazine names. I'm not sure if I will run into problems with this (for example, if I have a check made payable to the magazine, but my business account is in the LLC name).
