Ford Probe, 1997 Low miles a lot of blue smoke coming from engine, it is 1000 dollars, would it be worth it?

I am looking into buying a Ford Probe, the owner claims it has a lot of blue smoke coming out of the engine, it is cheap for the mileage, my question is is it worth it? what could the blue smoke be?
