How to replace a front lower suspension arm, also called a wishbone i think?

i slid off a roundabout hitting the curb with my wheel turned and brakes locked in the wet. the car suddenly stopped, it didnt jump over and was doing about 20mph, maybe less. i just about managed to get home but it seriously pulled to the right. i had a look this morning and the front lower suspension arm has warped, and the joint were in goes onto were the disc brake is has twisted. the alloy wheel isnt too bad, taken a little bit of rubber, nothing to worry about and bit off alloy but thats the least of my worries. whats it like changing this arm, my dad and i have reasonably mechanic knowledge but this is just something we've never done before. any help and advise will be greatfully recieved lol. o and its a 1994 ford escort. thanks:)
